However, there are countless others qualified to hold his position; this sets a bad precedent and his nomination erodes some of Obama's credibility. Although his academic credentials are significantly better, Lynn's background is quite similar to Dick Cheney's. Is it realistic to expect that a Washington and defense industry insider is going help improve the system?
