Wasn’t it GEN Crooke that pursued the Indians in the dead of winter that finally broke their will to fight? Of course there will be a Taliban Spring Offensive – I’m not an expert and I know that. We missed a chance, when we didn’t chase them Nov – Mar. They lack the logistics for winter war – simple example – foot wear that prevents frostbite. But, with warm weather their Toyota pickups and plastic sandals are equal to or better than our ‘stuff’. To me it was an opportunity missed. Pakistani Taliban have threatened the Afgahnistan government while operating in another country is tantamount to a declaration of war on Afgahnistan by Pakistan, there will be cross border operations by NATO now for sure. Pakistan had better be careful, nuclear weapons will not help them here. India would neutralize them with Nukes if they tried to use them. This whoel area has the potential to start world war III.
