What is it now 3 Nunn McCurdy breeches and counting.

Interesting note in the Chairman’s remarks on cutting the 3GIRS as a program that “can be executed on schedule and within cost” when the House, Senate and the Executive branch continue to pour billions and billions in dollars and years and years of schedule into the SBIRS High program. The decision to invade Iraq justified by phony interpretations of intel data is one of the more recent examples. The intel folks have LOTS of capability - far more than they have politicians who want to act on reality. Recently, Nancy Pelosi was free to accuse them of breaking the law - and they had to sit there and take it! Why buy them sophisticated systems if the Congress is going to invent their own reality anyway?

Having worked with the intel community (not lately) we need to have the elected officials listen to what they say and not selectively interpret what they say to fit preconceived conclusions. Military technological advancement is coming to a screeching halt for at least the next 3.5 years.

Good, the administration is clearly trying to get rid of every single “high risk” program on the budget.
