Again correct those Dems are always trying to cut the Budget on Defense but give themselves huge pay increases. Lets cut to the chase and see what the military really needs and get everyone on board, but thats a problem with this administation. Staring with The Commander in Chief who probally never ran a program above street vendor and this includes his SecofDef. A joke of a team.
Well we can just wait until the next elections because these circus clowns will be on there way out the door.

It is easy to criticize when you are not the one being held accountable for the actions of others. It is easy to criticize when you are not the one that has to decide which lives are expendable and which ones are not. It is easy to criticize when you are not the one who has to figure out what ways to bring equitable healthcare to all Americans. If you felt you could have done a better job then perhaps you should have run for office, and maybe you would have been voted in and we would be criticizing YOU now. Remeber to always no matter who is in office and how much we may not agree with the roads that are taken this we must respect the office of the President of United States.

I’m a little confused. The A-400 has problems so our Allies and others want the C-17. The F-35 is turning into an overpriced under-performing joke compared to the expectations. But yet, we also close the F-22 production line because it is too expensive. Ummn, the F-35 costs per plane are ramping up fast compared to upcoming competition, so the allies may choose to bail on that (driving up the price more), but at least Japan and Australia have indicated that they would prefer the F-22 (possibly driving that superior aircraft’s price down).

So this administration would like to abandon the C-17 market and the potentially expanding market for our most technologically advanced fighter for another fighter that may very well lose out to the competition. (I forgot — the US didn’t sell the F-14 and F-15 to our allies after it was developed — my bad).

Are they trying to Intentionally destroy the most advanced parts of our defense industry? — or are they just as inexperienced and unprepared for their jobs as I had feared?

The dip stick legislators gave their selfs at least a $4000.00 a year raise, some got more. Didn’t the CIC say it was an all volunteer force. I guess that means they can buy their own tickets to get to the war zone. Theirs enough bull shet put out by the demos to fertilize the corn belt in all of the USA. These jack asses are traitors pure and simple. Vote them out and keep voting out the POS’S until we get some one who thinks like we do. Strong Defense, stop all the illegal aliens at the boarder, but a brick wall in the middle of the yellow brick road. Black Hawks, Snakes etc: would do a really good gob. Bring our troops home to protect out boarders from the south. 65 million voted numb nuts in now we all have to live with this half wit for the next 3 years. Lets hope we are all still here to vote in some one who has some brains. I admit it will be hard but there has to be someone.

Take a look at the Jan 29 contract awards, They range from 7.5 mil to 85 mil each and most are not needed at this time in reality. I could care less about spaceship dockings or building a new city in Guam for the few military stationed there. (Use the FEMA trailers instead so they finaly get some use). The ARMY corp of eng has taken a big bite out of the actual ARMY for funding road work and dykes around the country (shouldnt this actualy be a part of the dept of the interior or even EPA rather than the military). And the contractors will not spend 1/4 of what they recieve to maintain military bases and housing which is why they are in such bad shape right now. Just take a look at these contracts and you will see where cuts need to be made.

More C-17s are a waste. We would have plenty of airlift if they would fully fund the C-5M program. Instead they keep underfunding C-5 maintenance so they can complain that they’re too unreliable and thus retire them so they can then turn around and whine ‘waaaaahhh, we need more airlift’

Also getting KC-X off the ground would be a huge boon to our pallet and troop transport capabilities (which is what most airlift is)

There are more than enough C-17s to handle the odd outsized/rough field requirements

The money would be better spent recapitalizing our tanker and fighter fleets, and dare i say NGB?

The AIR FORCE wants the funds for AF fighter craft and tankers rather than troop/material transports. It would end a lot of arguing if they reinducted the AF into the ARMY as one branch again.

The Pentagon has been trying to end the C-17 program for about four years now, and move it to the Global Sustainment Partnership.
The Air Force wants to end procurement and has wanted to end procurement for some time. What’s the problem?

Defining income brackets across the US is futile because the Government failed in controlling commerce thus insuring you could purchase product for the same ammount, make the same pay scale, or buy property for the same price throughout the US. Oh yeah they control the min wage but dont set caps to allow you to be able to live at that wage. The minwage system should be based on the government pay scale system (broken into job catagories and experiance level)rather than a blanket system for all. Commerce has more to do with what is happening than insuring we buy more produce from other countries than we do from the US. It is total Govt break down of common sense.

Defining income brackets on a national scale is an exercise in futility and only leads to misconceptions based on where you live. Don’t get me wrong, $250K/year is a lot of money, but it doesn’t go nearly as far in New York City or Los Angeles as $70K/year does in rural Iowa or Arkansas. That’s probably why all of the bases on the BRAC list are in major metropolitan areas.

They need to look into thier own back yards. Under state soverigenty the Govenors are responsible for the individual states, congress is only suppose to oversee the military and commerce among the states. So to me it would save billions upon billions getting rid of all 600 congressmen, thier staffs, offices, perdium, retirement they get after one term (2 yrs) in office and so on. 50 Governors would be easier to control and can get together to consolidate laws across state lines. Plus every one of these congressmen only consider programs outside of thier states as wasteful spending. The secdef and his staff should be justifying these request from the individual military branches rather than taking advise from them. Hati proved we cannot move our remaining forces fast enough due to a lack of aircraft. We need more C17’s, C130’s, Helos, and amphib landing ships to get our troops into theater. And this BS about insuring our military gets the support they deserve really gets me going, I had to do 20 years min to get 50% of my base pay, Med and dental suck and you have to wait forever for an appointment and pay a lot out of pocket, but a senator does two years, gets 100% health and a bigger check than I will ever see for thier retirement/severence pay, how about they give us our retirement after 1 term and 100% medical then I might believe them a bit but it’s hard when they often state the military is overpaid compared to the outside world, remember these are the same ones claiming middle class is just below $250,000.00 a year, show me an enlisted man making close to that. Most fall into the lower class rate of less than $35,000.00 a year and why so many of our heroes are on WIC and welfare to support thier families. The whol;e system needs to be overhauled completely from the ground up.

More C-17s are “waste”, the same C-17s hauling all sorts of equipment back and racking up huge sums of flight hours? The same C-17s that mean we don’t have to rely on renting old Soviet aircraft like other nations? If we halt C-17 production and don’t start designing a new heavy-lifter now, we could end up with a significant gap in air-lift capability in the future due to all of the wear on our current C-17A fleet.
