AKA an excuse to gut our military?

Why can’t we have our military and not clean up messes in 3rd world hellholes?

Maybe we can close all the US Bases in Europe and Asia.
Then if we are needed there the countries can pay for our service folks to protect their behinds.
That ought to save a bundle in future years.

Let’s stop WASTING Money and Subsidizing Integrators and WALL STREET!!!! Advisories have had in their hands Parts of the F-117 for the past 12 Years. Don’t you think if another country had Stealth Technology and we shot down one of their platforms that we would not exploit the capability and engineer a weapon that could counter that threat? Well, 12 Years and all those Engineering Students attending our Universities, Colleges and actually attended classes have integrated a well-developed weapon system to Counter Stealth.

Cannot wait to see JSF and the rest of these useless overpriced platforms Cancelled and the corpse being towed to the front Gate of your local base with an “Eye Beam” Shoved up its augmenter, all the way to the XXXXPIT. I think then and only then, will this put an end this “Black Hole Funding” and decisively drive a stake in the heart of this this “Warlock” or “Demon Seed” Program once and for ALL.

William you are totally out to Lunch. You have never been in the Military nor have you seen combat nor have you been shot at by hostile Forces. You need to pick up a Weapon and Stand the Post. We need Warfighting Capability that will make a difference, not Platforms that Cost 3 or 4 times more than the platforms we have. Especially since we have the Technology, TACTOM, ALCMS, Harpoons, UAV and Network Enabled Weapons. Once you fly over a War Zone, have the opportunity to be Shot Down and Shot at, let’s Talk. Then you can explain why Veterans Healthcare is being CUT, Widows and survivors are not being paid a Cost of Living Increase and the Children of these deceased Hero’s cannot attend College, and last but not least they cannot locate remains at Arlington National Cemetery. YOU TELL ME!!!! You noting more than a Marketer for Lockheed and the rest of those WALL STREET idiots that do nothing but destroy our economy and Kill our Best for MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So Prudential Insurance Company can collect Interest on a young Soldiers death benefits instead of his Mother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALCM, Harpoon, TACTOM, BAMS, Predator, Fire Scout, Global Hawk, the list is ENDLESS. In fact most of the UAV’s can carry weapons. We can observe a rabbit taking a ssss from 30,000FT. However, we cannot find or locate Osama bin Laden. We Jam Communications listen to cell phones but we cannot find these radical fanatics. Come On…. The Integrators and the Money Hungry Fools on Wall Street that Drive the Military Integrators would dress someone up to look like Bin Laden just to keep the money rolling in. The same is true for JSF, B-2, F-22, NGB, and the other Manned Aircraft we do not need. We have enough manned platforms. Being a Fighter Pilot and experience Combat both as a FAC, a CJ driver, I can say without hesitation that we are missing the message. What we need is additional connectivity to the platforms node to node in the GIG along with a longer Range, accurate > 50% PK A/A Weapon.

Yes a F-117A was downed and the Russians (and possibly Chinese) got their hands on parts because some foolish officers didn’t bomb and napalm the wreckage to dust. Yet you think no advancements in stealth technology have been made since the 1st generation F-117A?

I’m going to presume you are talking about the Zumwalt class when you refer to stealth ships. Well that program has been cut down to three ships and new Burke class destroyers will be built instead. This is probably a good decision. Meanwhile building those three ships allows us to develop those technologies, prove concepts, and maintain a strong industrial base.

We don’t need the same military if we aren’t involved everywhere. We could spend a lot less with that strategy.

If it is a real review to take an honest look at real threat as opposed to Tom Clancy threat I would welcome it. I don’t think the DoD, Congress, or the White House are capable of being honest. Too bought off by the industry.

Also not true, the USA have many UAVs but all UAVs was the US have except the two X47 prototypes and one Predator C Prototyp are not stealth and can detect behind Hunderts of Miles.

And the ammunition you mention is not unique and the russians and also the chinese have same or much better ammunition for example the SS-N-27,SS-N-26 Strobile, SS-N-25 Switchblade, SS-N-22 Sunburn our YJ-91 and BrahMos and over more advanced ammunition of all kinds. The United States supremacy bases on his big modern Navy and his 5 Gen Fighters and not on is ammunition.

The moust US ammunition are also old and can not survive ageinst modern Defence Systems for example the ALCM. The United States need a next gen Bomber, he need a F35 figther and he need new Offessiv Amunition like Arclite.

You can kill the entire defense spending and you will still have a deficit of billion 800! Wake up, that is the reality! I cam from europe and Knowth end of the road what Obama wants to go and this is a road to irrelevance and lack of freedom.

The United States must reform Medicare and Social Security and not cut the defense spendings or you will end up like Großbritanien.And China, Russia and other hostile states will dominate the world.
